In the village of Privolie, Troitsky District, Lugansk Region, ChSP Agrofirm Privolie officially opened a milk processing plant on November 11, 2019.
According to the director of the agricultural company Dmitry Odenchuk, the idea of opening his own dairy arose after the outbreak of military conflict in the east, when there were difficulties with the sale of milk produced to local dairies.
“Livestock is a social project. Men work on tractor brigades, but for women there is no work. Therefore, I decided to keep livestock, while preserving jobs, ”emphasized Dmitry Odenchuk.
He added that the plant was built to process milk and produce yoghurts, soft cheeses, fermented baked milk, kefir and is designed to process 15 tons of milk per shift. Production facilities are served by a staff of 6 people. When the company begins to work at full capacity, the staff will be increased to 10 people.
Now the plant operates at 30% of the planned capacity, processing 5 tons of milk per shift. The enterprise operates exclusively on raw materials of its own production. They refused to purchase milk from the population, because the raw materials did not meet the requirements of the highest grade.
“Now we provide 5 tons of milk per day at the farm, and we process them. Passed HACCP certification.
With the support of local authorities of UTO, in 2 years we can increase production capacities to 20 tons of milk per day by increasing our own dairy herd, ”Dmitry Odenchuk shared his plans.
