Many mushroom pickers during the “silent hunt” prefer oils. These mushrooms grow in large groups, so literally in a few hours you can collect them in sufficient quantities and fill the basket. The harvested crop must be properly processed so that the mushrooms do not deteriorate.
How to quickly process oil
First you need to pay attention to some of the nuances of harvesting. Compliance with these rules is a prerequisite for each mushroom picker:
- You need to cut the oiler with a knife, and not tear it out of the soil. This will help not to disturb the condition of the mycelium and preserve the next crop.
- If you find wormy fruiting bodies, do not throw them away.. It is necessary to place them with the hat down on one of the branches of a tree. The next time you poison yourself on a "silent hunt", you will see many new oils in this area.
- If you want to protect yourself from food poisoning, do not cut the fruit near the highway or industrial enterprises. This variety of mushrooms quickly absorbs toxic substances of their air and soil.
If you find rotten oils in the harvest, they can also be recycled. Clean them and put them in salt water for 3 hours so that all the parasites emerge, after which the mushrooms can be used to prepare any dishes
Some mushroom pickers try to remove the top film from the butter in the forest, so that they only have to rinse and chop mushrooms at home.
At home, processing takes place in several stages:
- Lay a large piece of cloth or paper on the floor. Pour mushrooms collected in the forest on top.
- Sort fruit bodies by size, so that after that it is more convenient to cook.
- Proceed to remove the sticky film that is on the surface. All actions must be carried out with gloves so as not to get your hands dirty.
- Wipe the mushroom cap with a sponge or scrape off the plaque with a knife.
- Cut out the rot and cut the mycelium.
- Place the harvest in cold water for 20-30 minutes. This will clear the mushrooms from dirt. To remove the adhering debris, you need to pour boiling water over the fruit bodies and leave them for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut mushrooms: small specimens can be left whole, and larger ones can be cut into several parts.
- After this, the oil must be boiled in salt water with the addition of citric acid (1 tbsp. L. To 3 liters of water) for 30 minutes.
How to wash your hands after cleaning
After processing, oil without gloves is always painted dirty black and brown. In this case, you can not use cosmetic or laundry soap, because it will only fix the pigment.
Method 1 Pour into a vinegar solution (1/3 cup vinegar in 20 ml of water) 3 tbsp. soda and place your hands in it for 2-3 minutes. Gradually start wiping your hands with crystals. If it does not help, then you can use a pumice stone or a hard sponge. After the paint is removed from the skin, rinse your hands under running water and be sure to apply a moisturizer.
Method 2 In a small container, dilute a packet of citric acid in 2-3 liters of warm water. Place your hands in a solution container for 3-4 minutes. During this time, the mushroom dye will dissolve, and you just need to rub your hands with a sponge or towel.
Method 3 Soak cotton wool in a nail polish remover (based on acetone) and rub the stains with it. After completing the procedure, be sure to wash your hands with soap and water to remove any remaining product, and use a nourishing hand cream or oil.
Did you know? Oil mushrooms contain a resinous substance that is used to treat acute headache and chronic gout.
All these methods allow you to visually make your skin cleaner, but the pigment is completely washed out only after a few days. In order not to worry about painted hands, try to carry out all actions with rubber or latex gloves. Through them, the pigment will not be able to penetrate the skin.
Cooking methods
There are several ways to cook butter:
- pickling;
- frying;
- cooking.
Each of these methods allows you to increase the storage time of mushrooms from several days to a year. Additionally, freezing will help extend the shelf life of the oil. So, you can use them at any time.
In the process of cleansing mushrooms, carefully inspect them so that wormy oils do not get into the food
Fry
To cook delicious mushrooms, follow this recipe:
- Cleanse fruit debris from small debris and rinse in running water.
- After that, cut them into small pieces.
- Put the mushrooms in a pan, fill with water and put on fire. After boiling, cook them for another 20 minutes.
- Discard the boiled butter in a colander and let the water drain completely.
- Sauté the mushrooms for 15 minutes. For frying, you can use any kind of vegetable oil and various ingredients that will give the dish a rich taste (onion, garlic, herbs, etc.).
Did you know? Oils contain phenylethylamine. This substance is a neuromodulator and is responsible for the feeling of falling in love.
Most often, fried butter is cooked with potatoes. For this, the root crop needs to be cleaned, cut into small pieces. Fry the mushrooms first, and after 15 minutes add the potatoes. Cover and simmer until cooked, stirring constantly. If desired, you can fry part of the mushrooms, and freeze the other half.
Pickle
You can marinate oil according to this recipe:
- Peel and rinse the mushrooms.
- Boil them for 20 minutes. Add citric acid to the water so that the fruit bodies do not darken.
- When pickling mushrooms, do not remove the top film: this will make the marinade thicker and more viscous.
- Discard the oil in a colander and rinse under running water.
- Prepare the marinade (1 liter of water, 1 tbsp of salt, 3 tbsp of sugar and 80 g of vinegar). Add seasonings that you like best if you wish.
- Pour the mushrooms with marinade and let them brew for 10-15 minutes.
- Put the container on the fire and bring to a boil.
- Sterilize the jars and fill them with oils in the marinade.
- Store pickled mushrooms in a cool place.
Now you know that butter can equally well be fried, but also marinated, pre-processed fruiting bodies. Preparing mushrooms for cooking is a fairly simple process, the only drawback of which is the difficulty of washing the skin of the hands from the coloring pigment that is contained on the surface of the mushrooms. This problem can be solved simply by using gloves.
