In the Vinnitsa region, a pack of wolves keeps 2 villages in fear - in front of the eyes of the shepherds, the animals tore 11 goats. In the afternoon they hunt cattle on pastures, but they are not in a hurry to shoot dangerous predators in villages.
The villages of Nagoryany and Kozlov, in the Mogilev-Podolsky district, have been living in fear for 2 years because of a pack of wolves that hunt livestock. A few days ago, in front of the shepherds, the wolves tore 11 goats. The hunters, meanwhile, say that they can shoot the wolves only after 2 months, when they begin to issue permits.
A few days ago, wolves attacked a herd of goats in broad daylight. 1 predator separated 11 goats and drove them to the bushes, where a flock was already waiting. From pets left only bones. Wolves were not even afraid of sheep breeders. For two days Nikolai Bodnarevsky searched in vain for his goats. Only one of them with a bitten throat returned home.
For the second year in a row, a wolf pack has kept residents of two villages at bay. In the evening, people are afraid to leave their homes. Natalia Bodnarevskaya says that a predator came into the yard three times during the night.
Wolves are not afraid of either humans or dogs. In 2018, local hunters killed three predators, but the pack did not leave the village. The villagers turned to the local authorities for help, but officials are in no hurry to act.
“It is summer now, there are still a lot of leaves and therefore it is impossible to catch predators,” says Nikolai Saftyuk, the village head of Kozlov.
The Bodnarevsky family will not wait two months for hunters to obtain permission to shoot wolves. Spouses plan to hire specialists who catch animals. Only in this way, farmers hope, can livestock be saved.
