The united territorial communities will be able to independently control the use of land and recover losses from debtors. This decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

This will allow you to receive additional revenues in local budgets. The Cabinet Resolution allows UTO to charge land fees from unscrupulous payers and calculate the damage caused. Previously, communities could not do this.

“This decision is relevant and expands our capabilities. In our society there is an enterprise that uses land and does not pay for it. For this year, the debt is 1 million 700 thousand UAH. Previously, we could not do anything with this debtor, although we repeatedly appealed to law enforcement agencies.

Now we will create a commission and apply to the court, I want this to work and the debtors paid. In general, land fees are our main source of income, so we are interested in entrepreneurs developing their business in our UTO and paying land accordingly, ”said Lyudmila Borisevich.

The document expands the powers of general relativity and makes it possible to fill the budget, said Andrei Ryabukha, legal adviser to the Donetsk Center for the Development of Human Rights. According to the lawyer, the issue of losses and illegal use of land is relevant in the Donetsk region.

According to the new document, each UTO or village council can create a commission that will calculate the losses caused by the activities of an entrepreneur or enterprise.

Recall that in 2018 the UTO received land outside the settlements in communal ownership, but the issue of compensation for losses in the area of ​​land management remained unresolved.
