Kastirsky farm, located in the Konstantinovsky district of Pridonya, again fell under the scope of veterinary supervision.
The excitement surrounding this farm arose for a reason - the African swine plague virus again broke out on the territory of local livestock farms. The fact of ASF swine disease was also confirmed by laboratory tests.
As a result of the research, it turned out that the causative agent of the African swine plague infected four animals and provoked the introduction of a quarantine regime both on the territory of Kastirsky and throughout the Konstantinovsky district.Quarantine conditions imply a ban on the export and sale of pork meat and pig products, as well as goods related to this activity, imposed on local forms of farming. Sale and export are prohibited both in the risk zone itself and outside the specified area.
It is also reported that for the next six months, a ban on the sale and export will also apply to crop products in the Konstantinovsky district of the Rostov region. Recall that the African swine fever virus is not dangerous to humans. But it poses a significant threat to pig livestock worldwide.
