This year, Ukraine has every chance to discover the largest rapeseed market - Chinese, an oilseed market expert Yulia Garkavenko said in a statement.

According to the expert, due to the continuation of the trade war with Canada, China will be forced to look for alternative suppliers of rapeseed. But this issue has its own difficulties.

So far, Ukraine can not supply rapeseed to the Chinese market, since it does not have permits and they still need to be obtained. Previously, this was already the case with respect to export deliveries of sunflower oil and sunflower meal, Yulia Garkavenko noted.

While Ukraine is preparing to obtain appropriate phytosanitary certificates, it will supply only rapeseed oil to China, Y. Garkavenko summed up. Earlier it was reported that according to the forecasts of Yulia Garkavenko, in 2019 Ukraine can harvest a record rapeseed crop of 3.5 million tons, which is 23% more than last year.

According to the expert, an increase in sown areas under winter rape and its successful wintering will contribute to a large crop yield. The expert noted that Ukrainian farmers have been increasing the area under rape for three consecutive years due to its high margin, which has increased more during this period.
