On the territory of the Kirov region, agrarians joined in the process of forage procurement.

It is noteworthy that in 2019 the campaign for the preparation of “dinners” for farm animals began in the region a week earlier than in 2018.

It should be noted that the end of spring in the Kirov open spaces turned out to be sunny and favorable for ripening of herbs. This allows participants in the process of harvesting feed to collect a generous crop of hay and hay.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, despite the fact that the fields were full of grass, a slight cooling in the last days of May still contributed, and the plants could not gain maximum weight.

Be that as it may, Kirov farmers manage to procure a sufficient amount of feed annually, which every year allows, among other factors, to improve the genetics of the regional herd of cattle.

High-quality nutrition increases the productivity of cows and other representatives of cattle, so Kirov farmers approach the process of harvesting feed with maximum responsibility.

It is known that this year in the Kirov region they plan to stock up on two million tons of succulent feed and two hundred thousand tons of hay.

At the moment, managed to mow about three thousand hectares of perennial grasses and to harvest a little less than six thousand tons of feed.
