Today, farmers from Europe are sure that nothing but an active confrontation between the Russian Federation and Western countries led to their mass ruin.
Such information was shared by Cheslav Sikierski, head of the European Parliament committee on agriculture, and the guild of deputies from Poland.
In their opinion, the sanctions that Europe imposed on Russia and the food embargo, which the Russian side imposed in response, led to disastrous consequences. For example, the horticultural industry in Poland, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, as well as the meat and dairy sector of these countries, are currently in real decline.
The farmers are indignant at the fact that the authorities of the conflicting countries imposed sanctions without even asking about the opinions of producers of European agricultural products. And no one is in a hurry to compensate for the losses that farmers are now suffering. This hurts the farmers of Europe, who today hardly support their production on their own.“In 2014, we lost a colossal sales market in Russia and to this day cannot find a worthy replacement for it,” Western farmers and livestock farmers are indignant.
Russian experts are convinced that the voice of agricultural lobbyists today sounds extremely loud. But the question remains open whether the available resources are enough for European agricultural lobbyists to finally exhaust and close the trade conflict between the Russian Federation and the European Union.
