On April 27 of this year, the beekeeper Viktor Volovoi instantly lost almost all the inhabitants of his apiary, located in the village of Novogrigoryevka, Vitovsky district. 25 bee families died due to pesticide poisoning.
The beekeeper blames local farmers for the mass death of honeybees, who sprayed the fields with plant protection products. An elderly beekeeper cannot hold back tears. He says that due to his work, he lived and was treated.
Earlier it was reported that such cases are not rare throughout Ukraine. The thoughtless use of "chemistry" by farmers kills birds, animals and honey bees. So, the case of mass death of bees due to poisoning was recorded in Transcarpathia in the village of Gat, Beregovsky district. For three days, local beekeepers lost 20 to 50% of the bees. Their suspicion fell on the agrarian farm, leasing land near the village. The greatest loss was suffered by the apiary Nikolai Potassium, in which about half of the 100 bee colonies remained.
The beekeeper Livia Martyn also suffered losses and said that this happens every spring. But such a massive plague of bees has never been. According to the head of the accused agricultural enterprise, the fields have not been cultivated, since the sowing campaign has not yet begun. At the same time, injured beekeepers say they saw the earth being sprayed even from an airplane.
