In the Russian Federation, it was time to sow winter crops.

It is reported that to date, the total area of ​​already sown winter plants on agricultural land of the country exceeds six and a half thousand hectares. This indicator is four hundredths of a percent of the planned plan.

Such information was shared with the public by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on the pages of their official Internet portal. In addition, the department emphasized that last year, by the same date, more than thirty-three thousand two hundred hectares were planted with winter crops.

At the moment, representatives of agricultural organizations from the Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad and Tomsk Regions, as well as agrarians from the Pskov Region and Perm Territory, are actively participating in the winter sowing marathon.

Based on the assumptions of the leading analysts of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, this year winter crops will occupy territories whose total area will be equal to seventeen million four hundred thousand hectares.

It is known that last year, the area of ​​winter fields was seventeen million six hundred thousand hectares (employees of the Federal State Statistics Service have slightly different data - sixteen million eight hundred ninety thousand hectares).
