Only in 2018, domestic breeders registered the first varieties of yellow carrots. So let's try together to figure out which varieties of yellow carrots are preferable - domestic or foreign.
Characteristics of imported varieties of yellow carrots
Grade "Mirzoi 304"
Mirzoi 304 was bred in Uzbekistan, it is juicy, very tasty, thermophilic - the optimum temperature of cultivation is + 16 ° C, loves moisture. The length of the root crop is about 15 cm. Carrots quickly, in about 100 days, ripen, not stored for a long time.
Variety "Solar Yellow"
Solar Yellow is bright yellow. Its fruits are thin, up to 23 cm long, very tasty, juicy, with a crunch. This variety is early, giving a rich harvest. It can be preserved, without processing, fresh carrots are not stored for a long time.
Variety "Yellowstone"
“Yellowstone” is a wonderful variety, tasty, root crops are large, on average 23 cm in length, lemon yellow. The hybrid variety, early (70 days), is well preserved, adapts to various growing conditions. It has a great advantage - it is resistant to various diseases. When planted in loose soil gives a good harvest.
Variety "Jaune du Doubs"

Variety "Golden pilaf"
"Golden pilaf" can be planted almost throughout the country. Yellow carrot root crop grows no more than 20 cm long, it is fragrant and mouth-watering, it contains a lot of vitamins. This mid-season variety has resistance to flowering; its fruits almost do not crack. Carrots are recommended for fresh consumption, freezing, preservation. During storage, do not deteriorate for a long time.
Variety "Caramel yellow"
“Caramel yellow” - this variety is ripe (85-97 days), has a yellow root color, 29 cm long. It has a sweetish taste and pleasant smell, is resistant to diseases and adverse weather conditions, has a long shelf life, does not crack.
Lutein (plant pigment), contained in yellow carrots, protects the retina of our eyes from the harmful effects of bright sunlight and helps prevent heart and vascular diseases.
You can also note the varieties of large carrots with a wonderful taste:
- “Marmalade yellow” ─ early variety (80–98 days);

The carrots of these varieties contain a lot of lutein.

It all depends on your personal preferences, you just need to choose the variety that is more suitable for your requirements, grows better in your gardens and is stored longer. But still I want to note that our carrots are absolutely no worse than foreign ones, and often in terms of the number of nutrients, and taste qualities are not inferior to foreign ones.
