The most expensive coffee in the world is a product called Geisha, grown on the Panamanian Lamastus farm.

Perhaps this coffee would not have broken the world record, if not for a successful combination of circumstances. The fact is that "Geisha" was in the list of lots of the online auction Best of Panama. And on the Web there was an enthusiast who not only increased the cost of this coffee during the bidding, but also bought grain at a fabulous price - $ 80,300 for a 45-kilogram bag. Specialists immediately awarded this purchase the status of world record holder.

Note that other varieties of coffee were exhibited at these auctions. In total, there were about 50 of them. Remarkably, more than half of the samples presented were varieties of Geisha coffee. This trademark is registered in Panama and is considered the benchmark in the world of coffee lovers due to the notes of fruit and flowers in the flavor palette.
