The All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council (YOU) writes about cases of attacks on agricultural firms in the Odessa region on its own website, based on the data of its participants and partners.
So, on the night of April 21, attackers entered the warehouses of Novator LLC, located near the village of Shelekhovo, Ananyevsky District, Odessa Region and stole about 4 thousand kg of sunflower and corn seeds, as well as 900 l of herbicides. The farm was damaged in excess of UAH 1.5 million. According to the head of the enterprise in the morning of April 22, the company was going to start sowing.
It was necessary to sow sunflower and corn on 350 hectares. Since the seeds are no longer there, the company takes them on loan from other farmers who have responded to a request for help. The borrowed seed should last for 2-3 days. Most likely, there was a leak of information, as the bandits were well aware of exactly where and what to take, the agrarian reports. The case of theft of seeds and herbicides was taken up by law enforcement agencies. They found that the attackers carried away the loot through the gate, and from the common territory of the enterprise - digging a dig under the wall, where traces of tire cars were found.
Mikhail Parovik states that he owns information about 4 similar robberies. Farmer Alexander Radzilevich reports that over the past week at least 7 robberies of agricultural firms were recorded. In total, there are more than 25 cases of robbery of farmers in Odessa region. The injured entrepreneur himself estimates his losses at UAH 3.6 million. The farmer believes that law enforcement agencies are well aware of who is conducting criminal activity, but are inactive, as they themselves are involved in crimes. Agrarians of Odessa region united and began to search for offenders on their own, they call up and share information with each other, says the agrarian. Farmers report similar cases of robbery of farmers in the Nikolaev and Vinnitsa regions.
