More than 97% of winter crops in the Khmelnitsky region are in good and satisfactory condition. All cultures tolerated winter well.

Unexpected snowfall at the end of March is only good, Khmelnitsky agrarians say. Short-term cooling did not harm the plants, but only hardened them. Do not worry about the forced stoppage of field work on the farms.

Last year they did not even begin at this time, and now 100 thousand hectares of early ardent grain and leguminous crops have already been sown in the region, which is 90% of the planned amount. The farmers began to sow sugar beets. At 13 thousand has already been landed. 1⁄4 districts of the Khmelnitsky region completely coped with early cultures.

The snow lying on the fields only corrected the situation with too dry soil. Over the past two months, only half of the rainfall fell, so farmers feared that the crops would not have enough moisture. Now, due to snow, the soil is well moistened, since the air temperature remains positive and frosts are not expected.

According to weather forecasts, the current year will be arid. There will be almost no rain in April and May, when the seedlings most require water. The current moisture reserves in the soil will have to "work" all the time.
