Starting in 2016, the expansion of dairy production was facilitated by the launch of a regional program called “1 million tons of milk,” the press service of the Republican Ministry of Agriculture reports.
Udmurt farmers intend to obtain 1 million milk per cow. Currently, they are conducting active construction work and modernizing the existing production base.
In 2019 alone, 28 dairy farms appeared in the republic, where 6,886 new cattle places were created. At the very end of the year, housewarming was noted in SEC “Luch” and SEC “Zarya” of the Mozhginsky district. And in the SEC “Rodina” of the Grakhov district launched the second stage of a robotic farm.

To build and modernize livestock facilities, as well as equip them with high-tech dairy equipment, considerable funds are needed. The authorities of the republic came to the rescue, which allocated to farmers subsidies in the amount of 94.2 million rubles.
These days were sent to 26 agricultural enterprises. 150.6 million rubles have already been included in the future budget to support farmers. And in the immediate plans of local manufacturers - the construction of more than 30 new farms and more than 10 loop premises.
