Currently, farmers continue sowing: corn for grain - 2.1 million hectares (45%), buckwheat - 0.4 thousand hectares, millet - 7 thousand hectares (11%).
At the same time, farmers continue the sowing campaign of industrial crops. Already sown: sugar beets - 212 thousand ha (87%), sunflower - 3.0 million ha (53%), soybeans - 354 thousand ha (19%).With regard to the availability of fertilizers to Ukrainian farmers, at present, taking into account the transitional residues of the past year, agricultural enterprises have purchased 1.1 million tons of mineral fertilizers, which is 106% of the preliminary need for fertilizers.
Earlier it was reported that according to expert forecasts, Ukrainian farmers will be able to collect 80 million tons of grain this year. In particular, this is the opinion of Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vladimir Topchy. According to him, over the past decade, productivity has increased.Now, farmers are harvesting 1.8 c / ha more grain than before. The corn crop is expected to reach 35 million tons, sunflower - 14 million tons and soybeans - 4.5 million tons.
