Recently, the famous in the Netherlands brand Mercer Amsterdam for the production of unique shoes introduced an innovative product.
It's about running shoes for eco-conscious consumers. The unique model is called W3RD Vegan Pineapple and has already received several pre-orders from Russia.
Russian vegans were primarily attracted to the fact that Dutch sneakers were made using environmentally friendly zerowaste technology (non-waste production), and pineapple leaf fibers served as raw materials for creating such shoes.
Unusual raw materials for ordinary consumers allowed the developers of the sneakers to create “eco-leather” Piñatex. The creators of sneakers buy pineapple leaves for alternative material from Philippine suppliers.
It is noteworthy that the additional cost of leaves when growing pineapples is not required. In addition, it is a natural raw material, environmentally friendly, and when processing leaves into eco-leather does not require the use of a large amount of water. Dutch new-generation sneakers will cost both Russian customers and consumers around the world 250 euros. The start of sales is scheduled for the first day of April, but impatient fans of environmental friendliness are already actively pre-ordering non-waste shoes.
