Law enforcement officers of the Odessa region stopped a car that was transporting a stolen flock of sheep. The lambs were stolen from a farmer from the Izmail region.

The police outfit stopped the VAZ at night on the road of one of the settlements of the Izmail region due to a ride with the headlights turned off and a license plate that was smeared with dirt. The trunk and trailer of the vehicle were filled with sheep.

The driver and two passengers of the car did not have documents for transporting 18 animals. Men have never been able to answer the question about the origin of livestock. To clarify the circumstances, they were taken to the Izmail police department.

While the police talked with the detainees, who turned out to be residents of the Bolgradsky district, information came from a local farmer about the theft of livestock from his personal farm, commented on the situation. Head of the Izmail Police Department Sergei Zaikov.

On the fact of cattle theft, criminal proceedings were initiated under part 3 of article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and suspects were suspected of having committed this crime. Until the election of a preventive measure, men were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.

For the committed crime, the Law of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 6 years.
