In two settlements of the Slavutsky district of the Khmelnitsky region - Przemysl and Shevchenko, mass death of bees was recorded. According to the victims, they suffered irreparable losses, so they filed a complaint with the State Food and Beverage Service.
“In the village of Shevchenko, 7 beekeepers died in 7 beekeepers,” confirmed Igor Guzar, head of the department for organizing antiepizootic work at the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Khmelnitsky region. - The same situation is in Przemysl. There bees suffered from 15 beekeepers, 142 bee families died.
According to estimates, about 70% of the bee families died, mainly the so-called working bees. It was found that on April 29 and 30 near the villages the cultivation of the fields was carried out by the Akris Agro society. It was after this that the bees began to die. The society, according to the legislation, had to warn local authorities and beekeepers about the planned processing. However, this was not done. ”Igor Guzar notes that representatives of the State Food and Beverage Service traveled to the scene where they collected samples of dead bees, honey plants and honeycombs for laboratory research.
“In a regional laboratory, studies have been done on organophosphorus compounds that may be contained in insecticides hazardous to bees. Negative results were obtained, which indicate that such compounds were not used for field processing. In addition, the owners of the bee colonies sent samples to the metropolitan laboratory, where a wide range of studies will be carried out, ”noted the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Khmelnitsky region.According to Igor Guzar, if the laboratory confirms the death of bees due to "chemistry" used in the fields, as well as the fact that local authorities were not notified about the cultivation of agricultural crops, the agricultural enterprise will have to answer in court.
